after my first attempt at the wedding cake is at least the oven didn't catch on fire this time.
Attempt #2 is in the oven right now.
Good thing Julie is paying for all of this. Hah!
We decided (I decided and Julie went along with it) that as long as it's just a single tier, we might as well go for a 10" rather than 8".
So today I bought two 10" cake pans. They're both currently in the oven.
I also bought a fondant smoother, four pounds of powdered sugar, and eighteen eggs. Oh and more parchment paper and paper towels. And cupcake liners. Boy howdy, did I buy cupcake liners.
Last weekend I bought butter at Costco, so I am good on that front. I'm sure tomorrow I'll need more milk.
