I just got an interview for a job coach position in North Las Vegas! Woo-hoo. It's on Thursday. I'm interviewing with the Sandy store manager because he used to be a manager in Vegas. Apparently they are tizz-ight.
Yeah.
So I am pretty stoked.
Anyway, my manager sent me on a mission to dig up some dirt on NLV so I could plan my interview strategically around the dirt. So I went downstairs to talk to our retail manager. He really wants me to stay in Provo so I can be a job coach for HIM in a few months. That would be fun, so if I don't get NLV I'll stay here with him.
Anyway, he likes to give me fatherly advice (just like all the other grown men in the store. Weird.)
Somehow the conversation turned to dating (his doing, not mine) and he started talking about how everyone in Provo thinks that in marriage, the other person needs to do all the giving (and none of the taking. You follow?) and that's why so many people are leaving Happy Valley single.
And I shared with him my hangup.
You see, I have the opposite problem.
I have it so ingrained in my head that men will NOT ever change that I shouldn't even bother asking for small simple things. So if a guy isn't in a just-add-water state, I don't want him.
Obviously that is silly.
And that is probably why I am still single.
Anyway.
Keep your fingers crossed for Thursday!
