this morning I interviewed a lady who was playing on her cell phone while I was talking to her

I don't think we'll hire her.

So after TWO failed white cake attempts, I grabbed a yellow butter cake mix. Not as flavorful as the other white cake I made, but definitely more moist. Sigh. Cakes. I just can't stay away.
Also, sorry Mom, I forgot to take pictures again.

Anyway, they were all a big hit at the work party. Except for the flourless chocolate one. Nobody complimented it. But I LOVED it! It was probably too rich for everybody else. It wasn't even that rich though. Oh well.

So in all, there were four cakes. A spice cake with cream cheese frosting (divine by itself, didn't actually try it with the cake), a yellow butter mix with lemon custard filling and meringue-type icing, a white cake with almond and raspberry filling, and then the flourless chocolate. Oh yum.

Yesterday my roommate's home teachers were over. I was telling them about the cakes and then the barbecue this next week and they pointed out that I tend to live from food to food. It's true. I do.

I only got three hours of sleep last night.
Can you tell?

I'm listening to Mozart's 25th symphony in G minor (not like he wrote 25 in G minor... maybe he did... not the point) and I just want to get season tickets to Utah's symphony orchestra. Maaaaaaaaaaan I need more culture in my life. There are several great venues for the arts around here. Time to get on it!

Still no official word on the whole job coach thing, but hopefully by the end of this week?

My little sister is coming up for Easter/conference weekend and I am totally stoked.

We're having a barbecue on Saturday and then having dinner with my super awesome brother and sister-in-law in Orem. What would I do without them????? Probably die.

I thought about bringing them all of the leftover cake, but I decided my roommates deserve it more. Sorry Jenny. We'll make more for Jonah. Plus you wouldn't want the mix one, it has TRANS FAT!!!!!!
Let me tell you why my roommates deserve it. Because for the past six weeks our kitchen has been a filthy crumby sugary egg white mess. I do not have the energy to clean up once I finish a cake project. I'm pretty good about cleaning as I go along... which basically means I am washing the same utensils and bowls five times... but once I'm all done I am totally zonked and my feet don't want to support my weight anymore.
I'm practically falling asleep at my desk right now... but I need to stay awake long enough to clean up once I get home.
Only last time I did this, my roommates cleaned it all up for me! They are so sweet, and probably hate my guts. And it was always so lame when my mom would make some stuff for Relief Society or whatever and we couldn't have any, so I am giving the leftovers to them.

Audition for MoTab (culture) and refer the job candidate to LDS Employment Services to improve her interview skills.
