Nelly started that trend of wearing a band aid on your cheek? That was amazing.
My betta got some new friends today. A couple of nights ago I picked up a 29 gallon fish tank and stand from a nice (very talkative, ended up taking an hour despite my best efforts) lady in South Jordan for $75. I put Glub and Oscar in the 29 gallon and moved the betta into their 10 gallon tank. He looked sooooo lonely. I left the snails in there with him but they pretty much ignore each other now, which I guess is a good thing.
So today I went to Animal Ark in Orem and picked up an otocinclus (algae eater... the snails are not cleaning anything!!!) and five neon tetras. It kind of looked at first like the betta might be hungry for tetra but I think he was just curious. They are all getting along smashingly. I will say though that Petsmart keeps snails in with their tetras and the snails EAT THE TETRAS!!! Mine look zippy enough that they should be able to keep away, so here's hoping.
I also got a big tall plant to go in the goldfish tank. So. Two fish tanks in my bedroom. I have noticed a difference in humidity in my room. Which should be kind of gross, but I actually think it's very nice. My tanks are not nearly as impressive as a bunch I have seen around teh interw3bs, but good enough for my fishies.

I'm sure the fish appreciate their new spread. The tetras are pretty cool fish. They'll repopulate. :)
