So when I got home from work today I checked the mail. We had a key for a parcel box. I'm guessing it's my diploma. I went to open the parcel box but the lock is dented so the key doesn't fit in.
I called my local post office and they referred me to a different one. I called the next one and was on hold for five minutes while some lady looked for Garrett. I wasn’t sure if she had forgotten about me or not so I hung up and called again. She practically bit my head off when she answered the phone. "I WAS TRYING TO PAGE HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Sheesh, lady.
She said to call the other post office again and ask for a supervisor. So I did. Now I've been on hold for about fifteen minutes while Larry looks for a supervisor. Should I hang up and call back? Since it's 5:11 now (but was before 5 PM when I called) the supervisors have probably gone home. I wonder if he will chew me out, too. Let's see.
Hmm. A busy signal. Now it's ringing. Let's see if Larry answers again.
Okay. Mark answered and said he would find Trish for me. I'm on hold again.
About thirty seconds that time. That's good. Trish lets me know right off the bat that they can't do anything for me. No apology. I've talked to her before. She was really mean last time when they weren't delivering my mail for four months.
Today I told Trish that they need to work on how to correctly place customers on hold. She said she would tell a station manager who was about to walk past her desk.
I taught a class on Telephone Courtesy to some of my Associates today.
Awesome.

oh brother. how do you get in the box??? good luck.
I've talked to this Larry guy too...worthless! If you googleMap the Provo Post office there's a list of reviews and they are all terrible! Last week I had a package forwarded up here to our new address and it got to Provo and I guess something was misspelled or something on the package...anyways they returned it to sender and when I called them about it I talked to Larry. First off, he was rude and told me to call him back in 30 minutes because he couldn't take my call (what was the point of picking up the phone?!) Then I called him back 30 minutes later and told him he told me to call him back...he rudely said he didn't remember saying that, then when I was supposedly on "hold" I could hear everything going on in the back ground as he complained about lazy people and answering the phones...rude rude rude, then after discovering that they sent my package away he said it was my fault for not checking on it yesterday when it supposedly came into their office at 9:23 am. Little to his knowledge I had checked on it the morning before and tracking information showed it was in the Provo office...these people are brilliant!
Seriously, you need to complain to the US Postal Service! And get your friends to do so, also.
The squeaky wheel gets greased... just squeak really, really loudly.
How did the postman get the item into the box??
They usually have a master key or something. For people that don't work for the post office, the master key is a power drill.
