Poor Manager. One of my other roommates just canceled her contract also, except he was so not on the ball that she never even signed a contract. So basically she just had him sign a thing saying that she was leaving and he would give her her deposit back.

I got a key to my new place yesterday. I am in the basement. I realized that there is no dresser in there. And the desk and bookcase are hideous and not very practical anyway.

So I want to buy a new dresser and desk. Oooooh and a big mirror! I think I might ask the manager if I can just put up a shelf on the wall since I don't have enough books to justify a bookcase. Or I could recover the bookcase in paper or fabric or something.

I'm looking at Ikea, Target, Walmart, and D.I.

Any other ideas for cheap and un-ugly furniture???
