I realized a week or so ago that I am the only messy person living in my apartment/house/shared living quarters.
I used to get soooooo! peeved by messy roommates. Then about a year and a half ago I started to chill out. I mean, really chill out.
Now I leave my dishes out and dirty. I don't clean the dishwasher out right away. Nor do I flip when it's full of dirty dishes and more start to accumulate in the sink. I also leave my junk all over our living room.
But THIS time. This time I realized that all that stuff lying around... it's all mine. All of it.
And so I decided to change. Because, after all, cleanliness is next to godliness.
And now that I am clean again, now that the roommates have been apologized to, my dishes are scrubbed, dried and stacked, the dishwasher is slowly filling with dirty dishes, the countertops are wiped and the couch is clear, my memory has been restored.
Ah yes, it seems there WAS one other who was messy as well... One other who would leave meat drippings and plates everywhere... who would leave drinking glasses and bowls awkwardly stacked over the garbage disposal....
So naturally I am all bugged again.
Oh well.

Have compassion. :)
The best part about having roommates is always having girlfriends around...I miss that, but having your own place is heaven, but no one to blame messes on so I have no excuse when there are books laid out everywhere!
